BRIDGING THE GAP SPANISH MEDICAL INTERPRETER COURSE

This 40 hour nationally and internationally accredited course trains students for interpreter roles teaching ethics, interpreting skills, medical terminology, the impact of culture, and an overview of the health care system. The course is language-neutral, taught in English, and is open to speakers of all languages. Prior experience in the medical and/or interpreting fields is helpful but not required! Students will learn the necessary skills to become a qualified medical interpreter by participating in group activities, gaining practice interpreting from day-one onward, and through the instruction and insight of our experienced trainers.
Upon completion, student receives a “Certificate of Completion” and qualifications for National Medical Interpreter Certification Exam.
Fee based, Non-credit Class Begins Spring 2025:
March 27, 28, 29 & (week one 24 hrs.)
April 11 & 12, 2025 (week two 16 hrs.)
(two non-sequential weekends 9:30AM-6:00PM)
Fee is $725. *includes the course text book and glossary. Spanish 801, 0 Units
